Sunrise and sunset are times of the day when yogis have traditionally engaged in meditation practice. The atmosphere at that time is calm and relaxing, making it conducive to placing the mind and heart upon the transcendent.

Many people find it difficult to meditate because their minds are restless and easily distracted. Kirtan meditation with music is a perfect way to deal with the restless mind because when you begin to hear and sing the transcendental sounds, the mind effortlessly engages with the mantra and begins to develop a taste for spiritual sound, thus creating an eagerness for meditation.

Take some time out for this beautiful sunset meditation practice. Listen as Jagad Guru sings the mantra “Madana Mohana Murari Haribol” then when everyone begins to sing, join in, allowing the mind and heart to completely relax.
